When you open a page, your browser sends technically necessary data to our server: IP address, timestamp, requested address, status code, amount of data transferred, referrer and user agent. This is required to deliver the page and to keep the service secure.

These details are written to server logs, including your IP address. We use them only for debugging and to defend against attacks. They are not combined with other data and are not used to build profiles.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the site securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs rotate automatically: once the space set aside for them is full, the oldest entries are discarded. No fixed retention period in days is currently defined.

The server delivering this site is located in the European Union.

This site is delivered through Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA, with data centres worldwide). Cloudflare acts as a processor: it receives your request, absorbs attacks, and serves content from a nearby data centre.

In doing so Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data, in particular your IP address. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and responsive site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For transfers outside the EU, Cloudflare relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

We use Umami, a self-hosted analytics tool. It runs on our own infrastructure in the EU, and no data is passed to third parties.

Umami sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses. It records aggregate values only: the page viewed, the referrer, approximate country-level origin, device type and browser. Individual visitors cannot be recognised across visits, and no profiles are created.

Because nothing is stored on or read from your device and no personal data is processed, no consent is required. For the same reason this site shows no cookie banner.

This site has no contact form. If you email us, we process your message and address details solely to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

We keep the correspondence for as long as it is needed to handle your request or as required by statutory retention periods, and we do not pass it to third parties.

If you book a call through the scheduling link, the booking is handled by Calendly (Calendly LLC, USA) under their privacy terms. Using it is voluntary and happens only once you click the link.

If you receive our newsletter, we process your email address and name in order to send it. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every message.

The feedback links in our newsletters (thumbs up, thumbs down, unsubscribe) record your response together with your email address, so that we can improve which items we select.

This site embeds no videos, maps, fonts or social media widgets from external servers. Fonts are served from our own server, so opening a page makes no connection to Google Fonts or similar services.

External links (for example to LinkedIn or Calendly) are only followed when you click them. From that point the respective provider’s privacy terms apply.
